Mr Elephant
Have you ever wondered why elephants have such long noses, wrinkly skin and great big ears? Join Mr Elephant as he takes you on a journey through Africa to discover why. Meeting some friends and foes along the way, Mr Elephant will let you know how you have helped to look after this gargantuan species just by having a copy of his book.
5% of the purchase price from every copy sold will be donated to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. Best known for the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants and rhinos in Kenya, the Sheldrick Trust is helping orphaned elephants back to the wild where they can begin families of their own.
Thank you so much for helping me support this amazing charity. More information can be found here.
Mr Elephant is a children's picture book, while the target audience is between ages 5-7, the illustrations and rhyming couplets will appeal to younger children and the educational, moral and environmental topics will appeal to slightly older children too. If, like me, you simply love elephants the book will appeal to any age.

Mr Elephant safari adventure
After the success of the Mr Elephant safari adventure at Nature's Edge I am now offering the same format at other outdoor settings. I will read Mr Elephant to the children then they will set off on an adventure to find all of the animals that are hiding; elephants, lions, wild dogs... Afterwards they will take part in a craft activity related to the theme of the book, all materials will be provided. The entire session would last between 1 and a half to 2 hours. Suitable for children aged 3 - 9.
There will also be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Mr Elephant.
